John and Diane Kramer have been married since 1983.

John at the age of 18 established John Kramer Grading and Seeding Company which he owned and operated for 10 years.  He then spent 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator Local 513.

Beginning in 2002 John took his first mission trip to Uganda, Africa and his heart was set ablaze.  He loves overseas missions and has  traveled to Mozambique, Nigeria, Togo, Sudan, Indonesia, India, Mexico, and Guatemala.  Some highlights are – in Uganda partnering with Uganda Orphans Fund two orphanages have been established and care for 200+ children.  In Sudan Turning Lives Today paid for a well project to establish an orphanage for Iris Ministries.  In Mozambique and Uganda he served on teams in crusades seeing thousands come to Christ through signs, wonders, and miracles.  In India he's fed and served Leper villages.  In Indonesia he provided humanitarian aid in remote villages, and at hospitals just months after the tsunami and days after the 8.4 earthquake on Nias island.

2005 John and Diane began an inner-city outreach in St Louis, Missouri at the corner of Jefferson and Cass.  This expanded to a second site in 2007 at St Louis and Vandeventer.  Also in 2005 John served 12 weeks with a local church in Slidell, LA serving relief aid to thousands after the hurricane Katrina disaster.

John and Diane began a non-profit ministry called "Turning Lives Today" in July of 2007.

By 2008 John was invited to be the Outreach Pastor at Destiny Church of St Louis. Over the next few years he developed a bus ministry, food pantry, prison ministry, Hospice ministry, and built a team of 180 volunteers reaching the community and beyond.  He resigned his position with Destiny Church July 2011 to devote full time to Turning Lives Today.

John and Diane facilitated the Celebrate Recovery prison ministry at Missouri Eastern Correction Center from 2008 - 2014.  Each Wednesday approximately 45 men would participate and our CR volunteer's (VIC's) grew to a team of 9.

Turning Lives Today is known for their diversity of ministry, having served at Pagan Picnics, Mardi Gras, Sundance Film Festival, Burning Man, Sunset Strip, Ghost Roundup and beyond.

In August of 2012 John and Diane were invited to do a walk-through of a church house about to be listed "For Sale".  They left this building struck by the vision and thoughts of seeing this house be the place for many to fulfill their dreams and call.  The process began...and by December 27th, 2012 the house was purchased and gateway:61 was a reality.

gateway:61 was established to "Step into His move and raise up an army, an army of Love", to celebrate God’s work to us, in us, and through us, connecting people to God and each other.  For Freedom..."Freedom is when you can become the person that you were created and redeemed to be!"
